Skyhawks Baseball take one of three against the Wolf Pack 

WEST POINT, Ga. (March 21-22, 2025) In a fierce Southern States Athletic Conference battle, the Point University Skyhawks took one of three games against the Loyola New Orleans Wolf Pack at their home field.  
 

Game 1 (loss 6-5) 
The game saw several Skyhawks players making significant contributions. Michael Buckley crossed the plate twice, while teammates Danny Gonzalez, Rafael Jackson, and Zavion Anderson each added a run. Danny Gonzalez was particularly impressive, driving in three runs, including a 2-run home run, which was a highlight of the game. His performance was matched by Zavion Anderson, who began the game with a solo home run in the opening inning. 
 
The Skyhawks' pitching was led by starter Dylan Davis, who demonstrated control and composure on the mound. The team, however, could not quite overcome the Wolf Pack, who managed to take the win by a narrow margin. 

Game 2 (win 6-3) 

The Skyhawks, led by an impressive team effort, saw significant contributions from multiple players. Starting pitcher Harris Burns delivered a solid and complete game, setting the stage for the Skyhawks' offensive success. Michael Buckley, Danny Gonzalez, Rafael Jackson, Brett Campbell, and Sam Baker were all instrumental with notable runs scored in crucial moments of the game. Zavion Anderson stood out by knocking in 2 RBI's alongside Jaden Mazzaferro who contributed one, cementing the Skyhawks' lead over the Wolf Pack. 

Game 3 (loss 6-2) 

Point University battles but were ultimately defeated by the visiting Wolf Pack as they sealed their lead in the 8th and 9th innings. Skyhawks' starting pitcher Maxime Beaulieu delivered a performance notable for its resilience, pitching 8 solid innings and striking out 3. Offensively, Danny Gonzalez was particularly effective, reaching base in all four of his chances, including two hits and two walks, and driving in a run. Both Michael Buckley and Sam Baker managed to score a run each, hinting at a possible comeback during the compelling third inning. Despite these efforts, the Skyhawks could not secure the win.
