Seven Skyhawks Earn 2015 All-NCCAA Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Seven members of the Point University football team earned 2015 All-NCCAA honors, as announced by the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association office Tuesday morning.
Junior wide receiver Charles Ducksworth was named to the All-NCCAA Offense First-Team, and sophomore Brandon Robertson joined Ducksworth as a First-Team Offensive selection as a kick returner. Ducksworth finished the 2015 season ranked second in the NCCAA in receiving touchdowns (14) and third in receiving yards (817). Robertson led the NCCAA in kick return yards (577) and punt return yards (225).
Senior quarterback Charles Fortis earned All-NCCAA Offense Second-Team honors. Fortis ranked second in the NCCAA this season in both passing yards (2817) and passing touchdowns (32).
Senior linebacker Jared Moyston and senior punter David Strickland represent the Skyhawks on the All-NCCAA Defense First-Team. Moyston ranked in the top 25 of the NCCAA in both total tackles (85) and sacks (4). Strickland led the NCCAA in punting yards per attempts (42.5).
Defensive linemen Dikembe Billingslea and John Thompson were both named to the All-NCCAA Defense Second-Team. Billingslea ranked 11th in the NCCAA in tackles for a loss (11.5) and tied for 15th in sacks (4.5), while Thompson finished tied for 16th in tackles for a loss (10.5) and tied for 9th in sacks (5).
