Seven Skyhawks Earn Mid-South Conference All-Academic Honors

WEST POINT, Ga. -- Seven Point University Skyhawks earned places on the Mid-South Conference All-Academic team which includes 202 total players with minimum grade-point averages of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. All the listed players have reached at least sophomore academic status. Reinhardt University (Ga.) led all MSC institutions with 32 student-athletes receiving All-MSC Academic honors. Georgetown College (Ky.) totaled 26 student-athletes on the list, and Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) had 17.

Senior tight end Beau Beasley (McDonough, GA) earned conference All-Academic honors for the second consecutive season (he earned All-Sun Conference Academic honors in 2016). Sophomore running back MarQuez Jackson (Lawrenceville, GA), Point's leading rusher this season, and sophomore wide receiver Chase Turner (Buford, GA), the team's second-leading receiver and an All-Conference second team selection, made the MSC All-Academic team, along with junior running back Jordan Small (Dothan, AL); junior tight end Joseph Stone (Albany, GA); sophomore offensive lineman Harley Taber (Plymouth, IL); and junior tight end Chris Watts (Bonaire, GA).
