Jacon-Duffy named MSC Appalachian Division Player of the Week

WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 11, 2021) – Freshman Gabriel Jacon-Duffy of the Point University football team has been named the Mid-South Conference Appalachian Division Defensive Player of the Week following his performance on Saturday, the conference announced Monday.

Jacon-Duffy posted five total tackles and three sacks against Faulkner. The freshman recorded sacks in each of the first three quarters for a loss of eight, seven and two yards.

This is the first MSC weekly honor of his career.

Up next, the Skyhawks will return home to face in-state rivals Reinhardt University on Saturday, Oct. 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday's game will be a 'Pink Out' in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
