Skyhawks Close Season with Loss at Florida Gateway College
LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Point University Skyhawks reached the conclusion of their 2026 season on Saturday afternoon after being blanked 33-0 by the Florida Gateway College Wolves.
Florida Gateway stretched 13 points across the first quarter, seven in the third and 13 in the fourth. The zero for Point on the scoreboard was not for lack of trying. Corriah Williams completed 27 passes, with eight landing into the hands of Chinera Shaheed. Chinera's efforts landed her at 78 yards on the day with her longest reception measuring 23.
The Skyhawks managed one interception from Kenzie Phillian, while the Wolves' Layla West picked off two passes. Point's lone sack of the game went to Nyleigha Knighton, securing the stop for a 10-yard loss.
Florida Gateway divided their work between three quarterbacks, with Emma Clough landing three touchdown passes and Katelyn Jewell throwing two receptions into the endzone.
Point finished their season with an overall record of 6-9 while going 3-6 against Sun Conference opponents. Florida Gateway College rides into the playoffs with a dominating 13-1 record.
