Antwon Ferrell slashes his way to his second SSAC Offensive Player of the Week Award

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 26, 2024) - The Southern States Athletic Conference announced Player of the Week awards where Antwon Ferell earned his second Offensive Player of the Week award. 

The Junior from Newnan, Georgia has continued to make a name for himself in a Point University jersey and around the NAIA. Ferrell averaged 23.5 points through two games last week to help the Skyhawks go 1-1. He also averaged 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, shooting 68% overall and 88% from the free throw line. Antwon Ferrell led with 25 Points in the win over Blue Mountain Christian University which helped the Skyhawks earn their first SSAC win since transitioning to the conference in 2023. Antwon Ferell is a pure bucket-getter who leads the team with 18.0 points per game while shooting 43% on the year. With Ferrell's impact, he continues to improve players around him and could help Point start building to postseason hopes to make a run in late February. This is Antwon Ferrell's second weekly honor of the season and will certainly not be his last.
