Steele Named SSAC Offensive Player of the Week

Point University Forward Kenton Steele has been named the SSAC Offensive Player of the Week following an outstanding two-game stretch topped off by a career high 28 points vs Brewton-Parker.

Steele averaged 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists over the week while shooting at an elite level from both the field and from three.

In Tuesday's matchup on the road at Talladega, Steele delivered a complete performance, finishing with:

• 16 points

• 7 rebounds

• 5 assists

• 2 steals

• 6–11 FG

Steele followed that effort with the best offensive outing of the Graduate Senior's career on Saturday against Brewton-Parker. The 6'7 Forward erupted for:

• 28 points

• 13 rebounds

• 2 assists

• 2 steals

• 10–18 FG | 3–6 3FG | 5–6 FT

Steele scored at all three levels throughout the night, leading the Skyhawks' second-half push.

Across both contests, Steele posted:

• 44 points

• 20 rebounds

• 7 assists

• 4 steals

• 16–29 FG (55%)

• 3–8 3FG (38%)

• 9–11 FT (82%)

It's the first SSAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for his career.
