Carrizosa Earns NCCAA First Team All-Region Recognition
WEST POINT, Ga. - Point University men's soccer player Roberto Carrizosa has been named First-Team All-Region in the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I South Region, as announced by the NCCAA Monday afternoon.
In his first season with the Skyhawks after transferring from Phoenix College, Carrizosa scored a team-high 13 goals while totaling four assists and 30 points.
The junior midfielder also led Point in goal per shot percentage (.382) and ranked second in shots on goal per shot (.676). Carrizosa found the back of the net in nine games this season and registered four multiple-goal games. In the Skyhawks' five wins this season, he found the back of the net seven times.
The NCCAA Division I South Region is comprised of nine men's soccer programs with schools located in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
