Point University Skyhawks dropped to Faulkner Eagles in SSAC Clash

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Jan. 30, 2025) - In a challenging Southern States Athletic Conference encounter the Point University Women's Basketball team faced a tough loss against the Faulkner Eagles, concluding with a final score of 74-56.  

The Skyhawks entered the halftime trailing with a score of 26-37. Despite their efforts to bridge the gap, Faulkner's strong defensive and offensive plays widened their lead, peaking with a 27-point lead in the fourth quarter, ending the game 74-56. 

In the Box 

Point University was led by Aniyah Wesley, who scored an impressive 19 points, followed by Zaria Johnson with 14 points, who also added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks to her tally.
