Turnovers Hurt Skyhawks
WEST POINT - - Mobile placed a trio of scores in double figures in a 76-50 wire-to-wire women's basketball victory over Point Thursday. The Rams forced 37 turnovers and held the Skyhawks without a 3-point basket as the visitors won their second consecutive contest.
How big were the turnovers in the game? Mobile attempted 85 field goal attempts in the game compared to 41 attempts by Point.
Jada Johnson led the charge with 17 points with McKenna Sinon adding 13 while Emilee Duet netted 11 for the winners.
Aniyah Wesley and Zariah Fannin collected 12 points each for the Skyhawks but the turnovers proved to be too costly.
The Rams collected 34 points off the turnovers with Duet picking up five steals.
Point will look to halt its losing streak Saturday when Faulkner visits for a 2 p.m. tip.
