Point Women’s Golf releases its 2024-25 Fall Schedule
WEST POINT, Ga. (July 10, 2024) - July is the month of optimism and excitement for a new season that is on the way as the Women's Golf team is 60 days away from hosting their first tournament of the 2024-25 Year. The Skyhawks are coming off a historic year with many accomplishments that included Fredrika Zetterblom earning 2nd Team All-Conference, Peyton Woody earning Champions of Character, Eight Barnes and Noble All-Academic Members, Team Sportsmanship Award within the Southern States Athletic Conference, Sydney Ormsby being named the SSAC Newcomer of the Year, and the Women's Golf team receiving votes from the NAIA Coaches' Poll for the first time in program history. With optimism comes higher expectations, which will not be an issue for the Women's Golf team. Head Coach Greg Boling will lead the charge in his fourth season and is joined by a familiar face in Peyton Woody. Woody was a member of the Women's Golf team and is well respected by her peers which makes the move to Graduate Assistant a great transition.
The fall tournaments will begin at the Point University Golf Club as Point hosts the Skyhawk Fall Invitational during the first weekend of September. The Women's Golf team will continue their fall tournaments as Point travels to Kentucky for the Patriots Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands. The Women's Golf team will continue their path to greatness when the Skyhawks participate in the Innisbrook Invite hosted by Dalton State from September 22nd through the 24th. The final tournament of September will be the Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational in Kahite, Tennessee. Point will look to return to the Freed-Hardeman Invitational at Chickasaw Golf Club in Henderson, Tennessee where previously the Women's Golf Team added a T2 Finish out of Nine Teams which was also their best finish in the 2023 Fall Tournaments. The final fall tournament will be at the Canebrake Club and will serve as the UT Southern Invitational hosted by the Firehawks. The goal for the Women's Golf team is to continue their consistent play through each hole and earn the respect Nationally that is well deserved.

Sept. 6-8: Skyhawk Fall Invitational at the Point University Golf Club in Lanett, Alabama (Home Tournament)
Sept. 13-15: Patriots Invitational at the London Country Club hosted by University of the Cumberlands (London, Ky.)
Sept. 22-24: Innisbrook Invite at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club hosted by Dalton State (Palm Harbor, Fla.)
Sept. 27-29: Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational at the Links at Kahite Golf Course hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan University (Kahite, Tenn.)
Oct. 13-15: Freed-Hardeman Invitational at the Chickasaw Golf Club hosted by Freed-Hardeman University (Henderson, Tenn.)
Oct. 20-22: UT Southern Invitational at the Canebrake Club hosted by Tennessee Southern (Athens, Ala.)
