Women’s Golf adds a fifth-place finish at the Skyhawk Fall Invitational

LANETT, Ala. (Sept. 8, 2024) - The Point University Women's Golf team opened the Fall 2024 Tournaments with a two-day Skyhawk Fall Invitational where Point finished fifth out of eight teams. 

Tournament Notes 

  • This tournament served as Point Women's Golf opening tournament for the 2024-25 season and the Women's Golf team served as the host for the event.

  • The tournament was held at the Point University Golf Club in Lanett, Alabama. The preparation and maintenance for the tournament was supervised by Julie, Andrew, and Lucian. A few Men's Golf players for Point also were part of the Maintenance crew which was greatly appreciated by Head Coach, Greg Boling. Boling mentioned, "The maintenance crew were dedicated to keeping the course well taken care of and was working early mornings and late nights to do so. I greatly appreciated their work on this and it was the best Golf Course has looked in years." 

  • The course was Par 72 and 5,850 yards.

The Women's Golf Team will return to action in Kentucky at the University of the Cumberlands Invitational beginning on Saturday, September 14th and wrapping up on Sunday, September 15th.
