Skyhawks Lose Heartbreaker at Mobile in the SSAC Tournament

Mobile, Ala. -  In a challenging postseason start, the Point University Skyhawks, helmed by the tenacity of their college women's soccer team, faced a tough defeat against the University of Mobile Rams on October 30, 2025, during the SSAC conference tournament opening round in Mobile, Ala. Despite a valiant effort, the Skyhawks could not overcome the Rams, culminating in a 3-1 loss.

The game began with high intensity, with both teams vying to gain an early advantage. The Skyhawks, backed by their goalie Lisa Kelm, displayed a spirited defense, but it was the Rams who broke through to score the opening goal, leading 1-0 at halftime. Point University's Brooke Wiseley, with an assist from Hailey Hull, managed to score during the second half, marking a temporary uplift in the team's momentum.

Despite Wiseley's goal, the University of Mobile maintained control, extending their lead and finishing the game with a final score of 3-1. This loss brings the Skyhawks' season record to 11 wins, 7 losses, and 1 tie, with a conference record of 6-4.
