Lady Skyhawks Take Down Life 3-1

Cleveland, Ga. - The Point University Skyhawks women's volleyball team delivered a significant win at the Benjamin F. Brady Arena in Cleveland, Ga., triumphing over the Life University Eagles with a final score of 3-1 on August 29, 2025. This victory sets a balanced season record of 5-5 for the Skyhawks.

In a tense and highly competitive match, the Skyhawks began with a narrow victory in the first set by overcoming the Eagles with a 27-25 score. However, they faced a setback in the second set, falling slightly short at 22-25. Undeterred, the Skyhawks came back with renewed vigor, dominating the third set 25-17 and wrapping up the fourth set with another close 27-25 win, securing the overall match victory.

Jasmyn Ceasar led the charge for the Skyhawks by achieving 14 kills. She was supported by Tianna Kynard and Ava Clay, who both added 10 kills each, contributing significantly to the win. Their offensive prowess and strategic plays were crucial in overcoming the challenges posed by the Eagles.

With their sights set on continuing their success, the Skyhawks will next face Piedmont University on August 30, 2025, in Cleveland, Ga, for the 2025 Labor Day Bear Bash Invitational. The match against Piedmont will be a single-elimination game at 8:00 AM.
